Halifax Crafters Society Winter Market

My favourite time of year! Annually, I decide to do the bulk of my Christmas shopping at The Halifax Crafter's Market. Without fail, I always end up buying myself many pretty things and no gifts for others. This year I've decided to go with it, and pick out my favourite things.

During tonight's media sneak peak, I was delighted to see a mix of vendours. Old favourites like jeweller Fervours Own, illustrator Sarah Burwash, screen-printer Poison Pair, and porcelain/glassware artist Kyla Francis are showcasing familiar, loveable favourites alongside new pieces.

There is also a diverse selection of new and first-time vendors. The Halifax Crafters Market does a bang-up job of maintaining fresh, current presenters while supporting existing local artisans.

I fell in love with the following:

Minimalisto's geometric upcycled terrariums! I may actually buy these for someone other than myself.

Katie Bette's adorable cross-stitching. Lots of handmade, miniature beauties. Great for stocking stuffers and personal treats:)

(Also pictured, Taylor Made Halifax's politically-incorrect perfections).

Lemon Dogs. A weekly fixture at the Alderney Market, their lemonade concoctions, both cold and hot, are a fitting holiday treat. Head to the back corner and grab a cup before you start your shopping!

Beard Oil. It's big this year. Better Beard Company is representing, their first year at The Crafter's Fair.

Whether you're looking for yourself or a loved one, come celebrate the Hallifax Crafter's Fair's 10th year. December 5th, 5-9 p.m., and December 6th and 7th, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at The Olympic Centre (2304 Hunter Street, Halifax).
