An Historial Romance

Nicole and Brandon managed to snag the last beautiful autumn weekend for their engagement shoot. We met at York Redoubt in Halifax. I remember coming to York Redoubt as a kid to play hide and seek. This time, I got a full history lesson from Brandon. (For those interested, York Redoubt was built up as a military fortification at the mouth of the Halifax Harbour, at the end up the 18th century. It was heavily fortified, but never saw action).

Despite their claims they didn't know what to do in front of the camera, Nicole and Brandon were lovely to work with! We had a relaxed afternoon exploring the abandoned fortress and the last of the colourful fall leaves.

After watching these two's adorable smiles, I'm even more excited to photograph their wedding this summer.
