2015 was a dream.
Every time - and I mean every time - a couple asks me to photograph their wedding, I feel an honour and responsibility. It's a big day, a big event, both for them and their families. After 7 years of doing this, I know I'll be able to capture their moments; I know they enjoy my style, I know my gear...in short, we got this. Don't worry.
But it's still a huge responsibility. I'm still working all the time to ensure I don't just show up and shoot a wedding, but that I show up and capture this particular wedding. I'm working every weekend to ensure you have photos of the important moments, but also so you have photos that, when you look at them years down the line, remind you of how it felt to be there.
In 2015 I photographed weddings that were touching, romantic, and elegant; I witnessed weddings that were carefree, zany, and raucous. Their photos reflect that. And every time, these amazing couples went with it. They trusted me. They trusted me when I was knee deep in a gross duck pond at The Public Gardens. They trusted me when I was up in their business, under their dress. They trusted me when I took their dress/dog/spouse for a little walk, out of sight.
To every couple that gave us this trust, and let us into their space this year, thank you. We had the time of our lives.
To everyone we will be working with in 2016, we cannot wait. Have fun planning, and remember - there isn't a single detail as important as the fact that you love each other.
