It was the most humid day I have ever experienced in Nova Scotia. The fat rain clouds would not burst, and the bright grey sky would not abate.
And it was perfect.
The simple pleasures of getting married - having family near, getting dressed up, looking at the love of your life - were not lost on these two. Alaina's father performed the ceremony inside a small, 1940's church. Amy and Alaina laughed easily, every single time they looked at one another. The rain held off.
Board game enthusiasts, the couple had a selection of games to occupy guests off the dance floor. The front entryway was adorned with a large chalk board for guests to leave well-wishes, and many of the sweetest details (like the cake!) were the work of talented friends.
Congratulations Amy & Alaina!
