The Coast Halifax just released its annual Duly Noted Wedding Guide! For all you Haligonians looking to get hitched, this is your guide to food, frocks, and photos in Halifax. It has an extensive list of local vendours. I'm also thrilled to have my work featured in a spread entitled 'Sweet and Stress Free," about Kathleen and Phil's wedding I photographed in October. Courtney and Greg kept the gender of their first little one secret, and affectionately referred to it only as "The Wombling." I joined Courtney on a hike near their home in Shad Bay for a photoshoot, a mere week before the wombling escaped.
On March 27th, 2012, Courtney and Greg welcomed their little girl, Rowan Marie Trowse, into the world. Congratulations!

For basketball fans March Madness means dozens of games, bets, disappointments, and hopefully some wins. For Musicians and fans it means concerts, festivals, conferences, and a lot of late nights. Canadian Music Week falls directly between South By Southwest and The Junos, and brought some of Canada's best and loudest out to play in Toronto. Halifax's Hind Legs are heading out on tour with another local gem, Special Costello. I was quite pleased to spend an evening at a big ol' warehouse with both bands, shooting promotional photos for the upcoming tour. Throw in some facepaint, a bunch of junk and JFK, and we had the makings for a fun evening.

January isn't just for resolutions, its also for plans - wedding plans! My lovely assistant Celia and I were thrilled to meet so many enthusiastic brides, grooms, mothers and friends last weekend at the Atlantic Wedding Showcase in Halifax. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and took advantage of our free photobooth. We hope we have the opportunity to work with you this year!

Rain couldn't take away from Phil and Kathleen's amazing day. These two were giddy with excitement all day; it was like watching two kids waiting for recess. Their retro theme perfectly fitted this classic couple. The day featured two dresses, three bands, and the groom nearly dropping the bride! Everyone finished the evening in one piece (I think). Congratulations Phil and Kathleen, you two were made for each other!

I don't usually cry during weddings, but I admit to getting a little teary during this one. Lana and Chandler created a day that was all about their family, friends, and love. I was honored to be a part of their day - so much so that I stayed until the very end. Congratulations Lana and Chandler!

2011 marked my first year at Sappyfest. Now in its 6th year, this is the little festival that could. We rocked, rolled, napped, and sang along through the rain and sun. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!

I had a blast a few weeks ago shooting the crew from Cobra Camaro. Great energy, tight riffs, and a super-hot lead singer. I highly recommend checking them out next time you're in Halifax and need a good time
